Role Summary:
As part of the accounting function for EMEA region, and reporting to the EMEA Accounting Manager based in Bracknell, to manage the General Ledger accounting of a fast-growing software company’s operations for France, and one or more other smaller entities in compliance with the group policies and procedures set by the parent company.
Areas of responsibility:
Responsible for elements of and participating towards the EMEA accounting financial accounting, specifically France, through to annual audit; monthly trial balances for US parent, monthly management reporting, balance sheet review, CFFO analysis, cash-flow analysis.
Assist the Senior Tax Manager and Senior Payroll Manager in preparation of the periodic returns for Social and Tax compliance
Assist the Senior Tax Manager in preparation of statutory accounts
Prepare US GAAP to local GAAP accounts reconciliation
Prepare periodic statistical returns
Work within a tight monthly closing timetable and ensure all accruals, prepayments and other journal adjustments are correctly recorded to ensure a fair and accurate reflection of the company’s results, operations and financial position following US GAAP principles.
Preparation of high quality, standardized monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts to comply with SOX and risk management requirements
Support local GAAP reporting requirements for ledger system (Workday) using dual chart of accounts for US and local GAAP.
Work as part of the EMEA accounting team to meet regional goals and objectives and work on other country ledgers as required.
Maintain relationships with external bodies; auditors, payroll outside provider, banks.
Adhoc projects and tasks
Key Skills:
Qualified accountant or studying towards ACCA /ACA/CIMA qualification with relevant industry experience
Working knowledge of US and/or French GAAP Accounting
Computer literate and competent in Excel. Knowledge of Workday advantageous
Language skills: must have excellent commercial English; French speaker is preferred
