We are currently recruiting for a Group Financial Accountant to join a well-known, impressive business based in Colchester on a permanent basis.
This position will be responsible for group reporting, balance sheet control and having ownership of the statutory reporting process for the company. You will be a Financial Accountant with extensive technical knowledge and exposure, and will ensure effective development of the period end and year end reporting processes, balance sheet control and a high level of service demonstrated through timely and accurate reporting and delivery of all management/financial processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial accounts activities to ensure strong balance sheet control
- Manage the completion of statutory accounts filing, and group reporting for all company operations
- Undertake a full statutory entity alignment review process
- Management/financial accounts process to ensure strong balance sheet controls, compliance and governance, including face to face reviews across the various sites
- Effective review, control and management of group of companies balance sheet accounts
- Proactively assessing IFRS standard changes such as IFRS15, preparing internal documents for roll out
Key skills:
- Qualified accountant with relevant post-qualification experience
- Strong up to date technical knowledge
- Extensive Experience of preparing statutory accounts and statutory reports
- Proven track record in dealing with and coordinating both internal and external audits
- Advanced IT and systems skills e.g. Excel
