Our client a multinational retailer with an international presence and a key player with in the retail sector are seeking a Accountant to join the growing team. The successful candidate would be responsible for the stock related costs in the P&L, providing support and challenge to stores or support centre to minimise shrinkage levels. Key contributor to Shrinkage, Asset Protection and Margin Committees. Maintain accurate stock balance sheet records. Also to act as a Finance Business Partner, providing support to the Logistics Management. To provide regular and ad-hoc stock reporting and analysis to the business.
Key accountabilities
*Timely circulation of relevant Stock packs (Shrinkage, Asset Protection, Margin) with relevant material, including addressing issues from previous minutes or current agenda.
*Successful resolution of all issues raised. Critical paths for key decisions agreed with relevant parties.
*Production of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, accurately and to agreed timescales.
*Forecasts & cost centre reports reviewed & produced, minimising unforeseen cost movements.

The ideal candidate would have the following:
*CIMA/ACCA (PQ or Finalist) or equivalent
*Experience in a retail environment would be desirable
*Commercial accounting experience and good technical accounting capabilities.
*Reporting skills - able to handle large and diverse datasets
*Highly numerate and accurate
