Our client is an entrepreneurial tech company that are one of the most exciting brands in the UK. They are a listed company who are growing at a role of 50% year on year and are established as the market leader across Europe. You will be working with a high calibre, passionate team who in what is a very exciting time for the company.
They are recruiting for an Operational Finance Manager to manage the UK finance team of 7 people.
Responsibilities include:
- Taking the lead on key operational finance processes, ensuring all operational finance processes are fully documented and understood by the Team
- Take the Finance lead on implementing new invoicing processes
- Develop strong working partnerships with the Operations department and the Invoicing Team and establish clear lines of communication to resolve finance related restaurant issues.
- Lead the Accounts Payable team, managing the purchase order process and ensure PO’s are raised in the correctly
- Ensure Group policy on travel and expenses is adhered to with regular monitoring and analysis of all expenses
- Manage UK treasury / cash flow management, acting as the key contact on all banking matters. This includes a daily full year forecast, budget and variance analysis.
- Management and financial accounting & reporting, providing financial information required for the completion of the month end, year end, budget and forecast.
- Year end accounting, liaising with Auditors, intercompany accounts, VAT returns,
- Prepare the VAT Return and intrastats; submit to Group tax to meet HMRC deadlines
- Assist and deputise for the Financial Controller when necessary
Skills / Qualifications:
- Ideally a qualified accountant ACA /ACCA/ CIMA (or overseas equivalent)
- Experience in monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting and year end accounting
- Experience managing a team, ideally Accounts Payable
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the business
- Have the ability to challenge and be challenged by peers and senior stakeholders
- Previous tech / or experience in a fast paced, high transactions business is highly beneficial
