Title: Finance Manager
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000, plus car, bonus, pension and private medical insurance
Location : Warrington
Post type : Permanent
Oliver James Associates is proud to be working with one of the UK's leading construction businesses. This will be a key position over the coming years, as the company looks to increase revenue, improve profitability and Return on Investment.
There will be a lot of financial and commercial support to the business, as well as various projects, aimed at improving margins and efficiency. There will also be a requirement for some Management Accounts responsibility, assisting in the construction of the monthly accounts. The role will involve some travel in order to support operations
Main Responsibilities
- Financial support to key operational managers of the business
- Assist in commercial decision making
- Competitor analysis and measurement of our business
- Analysis and due diligence of potential acquisitions
- Involvement in various ad hoc projects
- Budgeting
- Ownership and review of some areas of the P&L and BS
- Month End and Board Pack reporting
- Liaising with external auditors
- Cashflow forecasting
Successful Candidate
Knowledge and Experience Required
- Fully qualified accountant with 1-2 years PQE
- Big 4 preferable
- IT literate - Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
Communication
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Able to communicate at all staff levels
- Strong presentational skills
- Able to work as part of a team
Organisation Skills
- Strong time management capability
- Able to prioritise demands and manage own time effectively
