What will you be doing

This is an exciting opportunity to join us as the F&B Finance Manager for Premier Inn & Restaurants within Whitbread, reporting directly into the Head of F&B Finance.

You will Business Partner the Head of Commercial Marketing (Premier Inn) on financial planning of menus and insight into actual performance – critical to ensuring future offers maximise financial returns.

You will support decision making and have financial control over c£40m of product cost although the role has no direct reports you will have ad-hoc support from an Analyst pool as required.

Responsibilities will include

• Financial planning of menus for Premier Inn – insight & challenge throughout menu planning process
• Budgeting and forecasting of F&B sales and margin – linked to menu, promotional plans and product cost
• Insight and challenge on underlying drivers of menu performance, at dish and category level – impact of price, cost inflation, cost savings and mix on covers, SPH and margin
• Timely insight into performance of trials to maximise returns
• Work alongside F&B Finance Manager – Restaurants, to help shape IS projects, including implementation of key financial elements of Product & Range into menu planning and reporting processes

Why we would love you to apply

• You are a qualified accountant in ACMA, ACCA or ACA
• You have proven ability to deliver financial models accurately and efficiently
• Curious by nature you will identify core issues and provide assessments grounded in compelling logic.
• You have excellent commercial acumen – understanding of operational business drivers and levers impacting cash margin models
• Ideally you will have a background in the hospitality or retail industry, with the ability to work to tight deadlines with accuracy and positivity.
• If you have knowledge of CUBE based reporting and analysis tools it would be a great advantage in this role, however strong Excel skills are essential.
