Finance Director

SF Group have been retained by their niche manufacturing client in Warwickshire to source a commercially aware and financially astute Finance Director.

Working closely with the Managing Director of the organisation, you will build and manage an infrastructure that will support the business as it doubles in size to c£50m turnover. You will support investment decisions into new plant and machinery, face off to key clients around contractual and pricing issues and commercially evaluate shop floor practices to ensure maximum efficiency is achieved.

In addition to the above, you will also manage and deliver a strategy that may well see the current owners exit the organisation within three to five years. This could well be through an MBO that you would ultimately lead or sale to a trade buyer - either way you would participate financially in the incremental value you have added.

Unusually for a role like this, we are not necessarily after a manufacturing candidate. This aspect would be advantageous but the difference between the haves and have nots on this will be the extent to which you are able to articulate how you have helped and supported top and bottom line growth within SME businesses in the past. Also, additional credence will be given to candidates who, as Finance Director, have led an exit / sales process on behalf of an owner manager or private equity firm.
