Our client is a fast growing, international business services Group. The business is now looking to appoint a truly commercial FP&A Director for a newly created FP&A function that will sit alongside the controlling function. Working closely with a highly driven management team this is a fantastic time to join as they embark on the next stage of the company’s growth.
The Role
The purpose of the role is to support the Board in developing business strategy, to bring greater structure and insight into planning and delivery of business performance and to spread a culture of commercial awareness and responsibility through all aspects of business operations. To support the role the group is currently heavily investing in leading solutions to help it drive commercial awareness throughout the organisation.
The role offers a motivated and dynamic candidate the opportunity to create the Financial Planning and Analysis function from the current more traditional combined financial/controlling department and to identify both where and how to enhance value. Key areas of responsibility include the following:-
Main duties and responsibilities
• Budgeting, Forecasting and Planning: Develop and manage an integrated forecasting and business planning process, comprising an annual budget cycle, a reforecasting process and a longer term business plan
• Commercial Performance Review: Analysis of business operating results and identification of key trends
• MIS Development – Drive the further design and implementation of advanced analytic toolsets to deliver business insights
• Cash Management: Supporting cash forecasting, understanding current debt and working cash management position
• M&A: Lead the financial analysis of acquisition targets as part of the management and investor team as well as tracking subsequent performance
• Special Projects: Appraisal of a variety of special projects including investment appraisals, value creation project tracking; scenario appraisal
• Compilation of quarterly presentations for debt investors, which includes development of the supporting narrative
Qualifications & Experience
• Qualified ACA/ CIMA or similar with 8+PQE
• Strong academic background
• Strong affinity with developing forecasting and budgeting models, incl. advanced Excel user and understanding of Data Mart based analytics
• Experience of working in an FP&A function in a sizeable and internationally active organisation
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to work with people internationally
• Previous experience in a PE backed organisation and/or support services would be beneficial but not essential

Location
• Based in London with a willingness to travel in the UK and overseas as necessary
