Your new company
Eastleigh Borough Council is an ambitious council, prepared to invest in its staff and has an excellent track record of making things happen. If you want to really make a difference and develop your career we are a great choice for you. We are committed and passionate about developing a culture of effective and continuous learning and development for all our staff. Our working environment is professional, progressive and inclusive, with the emphasis on customer service. Investing in digital solutions is a priority and we now provide many services online. We have approximately 450 staff at various sites supporting around 122,000 residents and a diverse range of businesses with many pioneering initiatives. In this challenging time for public services, the amount of money that councils receive from central Government is reducing so public services need to change to survive. We have been working on ways to further improve joined-up working in our local areas, with more opportunities to provide access to services through our website and in the future, through social media. We also need to work with our neighbours and that's why we are exploring more joint working with South Hampshire councils to bring in major investment to improve our road network, to reduce congestion, to invest in skills and jobs, and to create a South Hampshire greenbelt.
