Service Charge Team Leader - Norwich - Permanent
Your new company
Our large client based in Norwich city centre who operate on a global scale are looking for a Service Charge Team Leader on a permanent basis.
Your new role
To be responsible for all aspects of service charge accounting and support the Accounts Manager in general management of the service charge team. Learn and undertake all duties performed within the Service Charge Analyst role.
To take on responsibility for the service charge accounting for specified portfolios.
Familiarise yourself with the properties, service charges and general administration processes for portfolios within the immediate team.
Ensure the smooth running of the portfolio including timely accurate reporting to client.
Attendance at meetings with client account teams when required and working with the teams to understand their needs, interpret their demands and respond as appropriate.
Actively manage team members' workloads, liaising with other Team Leaders in the team and Accounts Manager regularly.
Provide informal (on the job) training for immediate team members.
Ensure the Accounts Manager is made aware of all relevant client/team issues as they arise.
Review processes within the existing team to suggest improvements to streamline
Support Service Charge Accounts Manager in the general management of the team.
Review and prepare departmental service charge KPI's.
Work with Client Accountants within the client teams to ensure cashbook liabilities are minimised and cleared in a timely manner
What you'll need to succeed
Recognised accountancy qualification or part qualified (ACCA, ACA or CIMA).
Strong people management, communications and interpersonal skills
Excellent Excel skills, to pivot table, VLookup and Macros.
Ability to manage and develop client relationships (internal and external) and provide excellent customer service.
Must be flexible and able to work under pressure.
Knowledge of service charges, which are applied to properties.
Organised and able to work to detail and to deadlines.
