The Company
This is an exciting opportunity to join the leadership team of a high-growth, construction services company, operating across the UK and Europe. The company is poised for further domestic and European growth and wishes to appoint a motivated Finance Director to Business Partner the MD, able to develop the existing finance department and optimise the company’s financial performance.
The Role
The Finance Director will be responsible for all financial aspects of the business, reporting to and working in partnership with the Managing Director.

The Role
The Finance Director will be responsible for all financial aspects of the business, reporting to and working in partnership with the Managing Director.
Key responsibilities to include:
- Providing leadership for the financial aspects of company strategy
- Financial management of various ongoing projects
- Critical assessment of new projects
- Cash flow management and planning
- Production of monthly management accounts
- Advising Board members and stakeholders of financial results
- Reviewing processes, systems and controls to ensure fit for purpose
- Management and development of the finance team
- Ensuring budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed
- Financial reporting including preparation of financial reports and accounts
- Managing company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity, disposals and acquisitions as appropriate
The successful candidate will need to meet the following criteria:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
- Experience operating in a financial leadership role as part of a senior team. Currently you may be the Finance Director of a Division or making your first move to FD from a senior Controller position
- Strong communication skills – comfortable presenting at board level
- Technically proficient with proven experience of Project Accounting
- Excellent IT skills
- Candidates must be willing to spend a small amount of time travelling in the UK and Europe
