Our client is a leading global water technology provider, enabling customers to transport, treat, test and efficiently use water in public utility, residential and commercial building services, industrial and agricultural settings. They operate in more than 150 countries through a number of market-leading product brands, and their people bring broad applications expertise with a strong focus on finding solutions to the world’s most challenging water and wastewater problems.
Joining them as Assistant Accountant, you will support the Supply Chain Finance Analyst and Financial and Planning Analyst in cost control in the Hoddesdon business.
Ensuring that cost and pricing models are maintained to a high standard and that SOX (Sarbanes and Oxley) compliance is strictly adhered to at all times, you will be responsible for accurately reconciling balance sheet accounts and providing support in standard cost and pricing maintenance. Liaising with financial shared services in Poland, including issue resolution, you will monitor and analyse operational and administrative overheads whilst maintaining intercompany pricing structure for two entities.
A recognised Accounting qualification is highly desirable but not essential – you must have knowledge of basic accounting principles for journal entries and reconciliations, and understanding of standard costing and pricing within a manufacturing or distribution industry. In addition, we ask that you have excellent attention to detail and a flexible approach to work. With effective communication skills, allowing you to liaise with various departments across the site, you will have good Excel skills including V-lookup and other reconciliation tools and be able to work on own initiative.
