Interim Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant
Telford
£250-350 per day
Up to 6 months
My Client:
My client is a major force within the UK Financial Services industry holding multi-billion life and pension assets. They are wholly owned by a global giant who is keen to fund major acquisitions which drive future growth, whilst creating a stimulating environment to challenge and develop your skillset.
The Opportunity:
The amalgamation of a recent acquisition has presented a peak in workload within the FP&A function, also driving a requirement to develop forecasting models and blend into business as usual practice. The business needs your experience and technical knowledge to provide timely and accurate financial reporting on a multi-GAAP basis and insightful MI. In detail this includes:
- Monthly forecast and quarterly business review for all functional areas.
- Providing business partnering support to key internal and external stakeholders
- Ad hoc financial analysis to support Senior Management decisions.
- Designing, developing and deploying new forecasting requirements, including Net Investment Income and Gross Cash Generation. This would for example drive dividend payments to Group.
- Contribute to and support the development of new guidelines, tools and techniques.
- Process improvement.
- Getting to grips quickly with Solvency II and generating related reporting and forecasting.
- Having a strong level of Excel ability in order to be proficient in developing forecasting models, and PowerPoint in order to be able to present information succinctly to the Management Committee or Executive.
- Orally communicating and presenting information concisely and credibly up to CFO level.
What we are looking for:
- A fully qualified accountant
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills to a range of audiences.
- Strong experience in analysing and implementing accounting and reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of financial regulatory requirements and statutory obligations.
