Partner Financial is working with a PE backed leisure group who operate throughout the UK. Having successfully undergone a period of transition, they are now well placed to deliver market leading growth and maximise their current portfolio, whilst also looking to add to it through acquisition. As a business, they are about to embark on a number of exciting projects over the next 12 months including re-financing, M&A and a systems implementation.

The business is looking for an Interim Business Partner to join the Management Accounting team to support with analysing and managing the Head Office and Marketing costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysing historical cost data and partnering with key stakeholders and budget holders to give insight on variances and trends;
  • Supporting the improvement of information quality and process flow from transactional work-streams up to the relevant budget holders;
  • Taking ownership for improving working files, with clear schedules, accruals, prepayments and ensuring that these remain fit-for-purpose;
  • Improving reporting to senior stakeholders to provide more usable, insightful and value-adding information and analysis to support budget holders in understanding their cost bases and performance;
  • Managing and developing 1 direct report.

 

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A strong Management Accountant and Business Partner in the final stages of their qualification (ACCA, CIMA);
  • A strong communicator, able to articulate their point clearly and concisely with finance or non-finance functions, and comfortable with challenging others;
  • A proven track record of building and maintaining key internal and external stakeholder relationships;
  • Experience of working in a business to business environment at a commercial finance level;
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel, and the ability to learn new IT systems and processes;
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral;
