Commercial Accountant

An Private-Equity backed Construction business with offices based in Greater Manchester are seeking an Commercial Accountant.

This position is an interim to permanent post for 3 - 6 months before a permanent appointment is made. This organisation have faced exciting year on year growth for the past 5 years and are now heavily investing in their Finance function to appoint a newly created Commercial Accountant position. This role is paying a highly competitive day rate of between £220 - £240 per day.

The Commercial Accountant role and responsibilities include;

• Report to the Finance Director on monthly management accounts
• Assist in the compilation and delivery of budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Budgets and forecasts, P&L statements, variance analysis and cash flow reporting
• Preparation and Completion of monthly balance sheets
• Business partnering with finance and non-finance teams to ensure adherence to budget
• Support the Development, Implementation and Maintain Performance Information Management System used to generate internal monthly management reports
• Variance/trend analysis and performance financial reporting
• Input the consolidation system of the parent company from the trial balance
• Provide management reporting on TM1
• Maintain control over accounts and all transactions
• Business Partner with key stakeholders in Operations and Finance

The successful applicant will;

• Be CIMA /ACCA/ACA qualified (or overseas equivalent)
• At least 3-5 years post qualification experience exposure within a Management Accounts role
• Have Advanced Excel and systems skills coupled with strong organisation and communications skills
• Prior experience of Cognos and TM1 reporting systems
• Be commercially focused and have a strong key stakeholder management skills
• Be available immediately or at short notice
