Management Accountant

Qualified Accountant - £40,000 - £52,000 DOE - Reading


My client, an established Accounting firm based in Reading - is looking to recruit an ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified Accountant to join their large Finance team in Reading.

This role would suit candidates coming from a practice background and looking to grow their career within a service led finance environment.

Key responsibilities:
*Assist with the production of business plans, client related budgets, management of team revenues and delivery of the accounting product
*Assist the Senior Team Leader with the Billing Process and management of clients debts
*Managing, developing and training Part Qualified and Trainee staff
*Overseeing and monitoring a range of duties including :
oThe posting of primary accounting entries and monthly management accounts
oRegulatory Returns
oPreparation of supplier invoice payment runs
oCorporation and partnership tax returns
oDrafting of financial statements and management of audit files

Skills and experience required:
*The ideal candidate will be qualified ACCA or ACA or CIMA
*Expertise in the preparing financial statements combined with a current understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS
*Current VAT legislation knowledge
*2-3 years gained within an accounting practice would be desirable
*People management and development skills are essential
*The ability to manage multiple deadlines is crucial
