THE COMPANY:
Brewster Pratap are recruiting an experienced Finance and Compliance Manager for a non-profit making organisation based in Sheffield City Centre.
THE JOB:
The main purpose of the role is to oversee the all aspects of management accounting across the business, developing and operating robust finance management systems whilst also supporting the CEO and Business Development Manager with the financial and legal aspects of securing new business.
Duties will include, but not limited to:
Preparing and reviewing as requested the annual budget.
Preparing statutory accounts and relevant documentation for the annual audit, facilitate the audit process and follow up any actions as required.
Advising the Chief Executive and Board on all financial matters so that they can take well founded decisions on the development of the company.
Responsibility for the company's pension scheme, adhering to all legal requirements and timescales.
Managing the risk register of the organisation, updating where necessary in conjunction with the Chief Executive and Board.
Accountability and provide leadership for all information security management requirements including the development and maintenance of all information security policies, standards and documentation to meet compliance requirements.
Directing the work of the Finance and IT team so that they support the effective delivery and development of the company's strategic and service objectives.
Managing the relationship with the company's internal and external auditors and bankers as well as attending Board and Audit meetings to present accounts etc.
THE PERSON:
A professional accountancy qualification is essential (ACCA / CIMA)
Previous experience is essential
You must have a high level of interpersonal and networking skills
The ability to work effectively with senior managers at a strategic and operational level is required
