Commercial finance Manager

Based in Northampton, this recognisable business is looking to recruit a Commercial Finance Manager to join their dynamic and growing Finance team. This is a great opportunity to join a fantastic business and be involved with strategic process improvement.

Key duties:

• Responsible for the management and development of the finance team, ensuring that each area meets and exceeds its KPIs.
• Ensure that billing procedures are in place to meet the month end reporting deadlines.
• Maintain compliance with all Group Accounting policies and relevant accounting standards.
• Control the reporting and reconciliation of cash, fixed assets, inventory, accounts payable, accounts receivable, prepayments, VAT, intercompany accounts and leasing.
• Meet or exceed SLAs to deliver a high level of customer (internal and external) satisfaction.
• Lead and implement strategic initiatives to ensure continuous improvement and best practice.
• Responsible for ensuring that the headcount and operating departmental costs are within budget and that costs are well controlled.
• Introduce/maintain high levels of process automation to reduce costs and increase speed & timeliness of transactional processing.
• Responsible for ensuring adequate financial controls are in place including compliance with SOX and ensuring that internal and external audit requirements are met.
• Prepare, report on and assist with the management of the budget and forecast.

Ideally you'll be either ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified and be able to demonstrate good experience of managing a team, supporting non-finance staff and have strong systems skills.
