Our client is a leading fashion retailer based in South West London. They are looking for an impressive International Management Accountant to join this fast growth business.
A market leader in their field, this fast moving business is looking for an ambitious individual to join the team and build a career. This role covers multiple international entities and manages 1 direct report.
Exposure to retail/FMCG a bonus although they will consider candidates from practice. German language skills also beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Upload Budgets, roll forward P&L/BS for 6 international entities
- Review and authorise expenses and fixed asset recharges
- Post prepayments/release accruals
- Reconcile and post payroll journals provided by payroll provider for 6 international entities, accrue where necessary and set up payments if required
- Create stock valuation report for the period and post all other stock movements
- Prepare and post Freight Duty and Handling charges and old stock provision
- Review sales and cost of sales
- Review commission reconciliations, reconcile to contacts with concession partners
- Post cost of sales, stock accruals, web sales/ipad sales
- Post FX revaluation
- Review and reconcile debtors, creditors and any intercompany accounts
- Refresh P&L and BS for all territories, ensuring that commentary in relation to variances to budget is added where necessary
- Prepare Balance Sheet recs on a monthly basis
- Prepare cash flow statements
- Attend review meeting with Senior Management
- Prepare year end schedules as per auditors requirement list
- Complete statutory accounts both in GBP and local currency
- Complete tax packs
- Complete Capital allowances analysis
- Liaise with auditors
- Manage 1 direct report
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Accountant
- Fluent in German an advantage
- Experience in a retail environment advantageous
- Excellent system skills (advanced excel – V lookups, pivot tables etc)
- Experience of Sun accounting system would be advantageous
