We have a new opportunity for a Financial Accountant at a highly-regarded and dynamic organisation based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds to improve financial accounting processes, support group and management reporting and assist with corporate tax and accounting compliance.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Support in all monthly accounting close processes
• Responsible for maintenance of Fixed Asset register
• Support ongoing integrity of general ledgers
• Assist in the process for producing consolidated financial statements to support statutory and corporate finance compliance
• Ensure completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Co-ordinate the audit process
• Assist with the development of processes and controls in compliance with SOX requirements
• Assist with timely completion of tax reporting and compliance
• Produce complex financial statements and review simpler financial statements produced under UK GAAP and IFRS
• Ensure accurate accounting and timely reporting for payroll, PAYE taxes and P11ds
• Other duties as required
Is this role of interest? You will be a newly-qualified or part-qualified accountant with experience of producing statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS with the ability to lead and work with small teams. You will be organised with strong communication skills and an analytical, professional and dedicated nature.
