Senior Advisory Accountant

A Senior Advisory Accountant is required to work for a FTSE 100 organisation based in Berkshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly analytical individual to develop a pro-active and pragmatic approach to technical accounting matters. You will be advising Business Development on transactions and other projects in which technical accounting knowledge is necessary.

Your responsibilities within this role will include:

• Advising on IFRS and UK GAAP accounting issues and developments
• Assisting Group Technical in managing the process to implement new standards and policies
• Responsibility for technical training of specific sites in IFRS and UK GAAP updates
• Reviewing annual report, preliminary statement and half year statement for technical compliance
• Assisting in the preparation of issue logs and judgement papers for technical compliance
• Liaising with external auditors on technical accounting issues
• Technical reviews of complex statutory accounts within the business units

The ideal candidate for this position will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). You must have strong and complex IFRS exposure crucially including IAS 39, outside of practice. Experience of Group Consolidations and year end reporting coupled with resolution of complex technical accounting issues, is also highly desirable.
