Our client is an international food manufacturing company with a factory in Hull. A vacancy has arisen for a Finance Manager to lead and manage the accounting team in an interesting and challenging position. The company has good commuting access from the Humber Bridge, A63, A164, A165, Beverley, the East Yorkshire and Holderness villages.

THE ROLE
-Reporting to the Finance Director and with three/four direct reports in, the successful candidate will take responsibility for leading the finance department and provide sound financial management by using robust processes and disciplined methods.
-Attend local management team meetings, ensure all transactional processing is completed in a timely and accurate procedure
-Ensure all transactions are compliant with process according to UK GAAP
-Ensure tax compliance, manage the internal and external audit process
-Prepare Group reporting packs for month end, year end, forecasts and budgets
-Working closely with finance business partnering
-Ad hoc projects as and when required

THE CANDIDATE
-CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified with strong financial accounting skills, knowledge of ERP costing systems and financial modelling
-You will have previous experience of leading a team and be able to set high standards of personal performance in order to lead by example. A clear communicator at all levels, you have high influencing skills and are both self-motivated, adaptable and driven.
-A high standard of systems literacy is essential combined with experience of UK tax, financial reporting, management reporting and planning
