Group Accounting and Reporting Analyst

I'm recruiting on behalf of a global organisation undergoing a period of investment for a group accounting & reporting analyst.

This position is responsible for the completion of accounting and reporting tasks across the group and is instrumental in supporting on the implementation of the group finance strategy to support the wider business objectives.

Ideal step into industry for candidates from the Big 4 or smaller practices.

Within your role as group accounting & reporting analyst, your key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Accounting:

• to assist in preparation of Group consolidated accounts
• to prepare statutory packs for all UK entities
• to review at accounts
• to prepare audit packs and manage audit requests
• to review balance sheets and reconciliations and manage for example accruals, intangibles, VAT and investments centrally

Controlling:

• to manage all group holding companies
• to assist in preparation of monthly consolidated Group management accounts/Board Reporting (full P&L, cash flow, consolidation adjustments, working capital, intercompany matrix, FX and associated analysis)
• to assist in FC & Budget processes
• to prepare monthly/quarterly VAT returns across the UK group

Tax:

• to prepare UK tax packs
• to prepare R&D analysis for RDEC claim

Projects:

• to assist in consolidation of all UK transactional accounting
• to assist in Corporate Development and M&A activities

To be successful in this role you will need to be:

• Qualified Accountant
• Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to travel also internationally, if required.

• Develop and apply innovative, timely and cost effective best practice Financial solutions to enable the finance organisation to meet its objectives

• The ability to extract and analyse data and synthesize the data into information to be used for decision making is required
