Head Of Finance

An excellent opportunity for a technically competent and commercially astute Head of Finance to join a leading services business, bringing your financial expertise and experience to impact the business in a positive way. You will be based in Surrey, reporting directly to the Finance Director and working closely with the Managing Director. As the Head of Finance, with your strategic and commercial insight, you will be accountable for all finance and commercial activity within the business and you will deliver on driving the business forward.

As the Head of Finance, your role will entail, but not limited to:

• You will challenge current and future business activity in a productive way, ensuring you use all available resources to increase profits and improve efficiencies and you will also assess and identify risks that lay with commercial agreements through your understanding.
• To drive the business, you will look at potential growth opportunities and you will do this through utilising and developing the associated financial model. With an analytical perspective, you will also need to look at the efficiency of how the business currently operates and ultimately you will be behind improving the effectiveness of that model.
• You will prepare the monthly management reporting which you will then present in monthly business reviews and you will establish concise actions going forward, ensuring ownership.
• Take responsibility for reviewing and approving certain bids as well as working collaboratively with the bid teams looking at opportunities and acquisitions and then for acquisitions, you will ensure smooth integration.
• You will manage the finance team, ensuring that requirements and compliance are adhered to for anything from, weekly cash forecasts to rolling forecasts, to monthly and annual budgets, as well as strategic plans; you will be accountable for managing the balance sheet.

As the Head of Finance, you will need to be a Qualified Accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent and you will need to be able to produce and submit large volumes of complicated financial and operation information to Senior Stakeholders in a concise way. It is essential that you are highly motivated and can multitask effectively, with the ability to multitask as you will be working in a fast-paced environment with a lot on and all whilst successfully managing and developing a team. As the Head of Finance, you will need to continually make strategic decisions which will impact the business.
