Plant Controller

Robert Half is currently recruiting for a sub £50m turnover subsidiary of a Global Manufacturing Organisation.

The role will be based at their Alfreton, Derbyshire operation.

The Role

The role is a hands on accounting position and will see you join the organisation as the Plant Controller. You will work closely with operations, and will be the number 1 finance professional on site reporting into the UK Head of Finance.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Production of management accountants
• Weekly flash reporting of Key Performance Indicators
• Cost Accounting, and Reporting
• Production of weekly, quarterly, and yearly budgets
• Variance Analysis
• Project Support from a finance perspective
• Management of a small finance team

Your Profile

The right person for this role will be a Qualified Accountant (Exceptional candidates who aren't qualified may be considered), you will have had an extensive finance career and been involved in hands on management/cost accounting positions. This is a senior role in the business but still requires a hands on accountant so wouldn't suit someone who is too far removed from day-to-day accounting processes currently. It is absolutely essential that you have worked in a manufacturing environment previously and understand the complexities that come with the industry.

The Company

The organisation is a well-known name in the industry and a number of it's brands are well recognised throughout the world. However, this role will sit in a smaller part of the organisation and therefore it has an SME feel despite being part of the larger corporate group.

Salary & Benefits

The salary for this role will be between £35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience
