Blackwaters is recruiting a Revenue Recognition Manager on behalf of a global Software business in Slough. The business continues to develop and grow in EMEA and this person is to provide support to Sales at deal negotiation, ensuring US GAAP compliance alongside commercial objectives. Working throughout the organisation to improve controls and processes.
Main responsibilities;
- Reviewing large contract proposals and recommending amendments where necessary
- Business partnering proactively with Sales, providing leadership to improve revenue compliance knowledge and to improve contract negotiation processes
- Liaising closely with Revenue Accounting to ensure accurate controls and reporting
- Taking ownership of regional revenue forecast
- Interacting with corporate team to communicate impact of large deals
Person requirements;
- US GAAP expertise, in particular SOP 97-2
- Qualified Accountant
- Significant experience of large software contract reviews
- Articulate business partner, able to challenge commercial assumptions
