Lead Financial Accountant

Robertson Bell Finance are currently recruiting for a Lead Financial Accountant. Our client is a large UK based charity that are looking to bring support into their finance department in West Sussex for a minimum of 6 months.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA qualified individual that is dynamic, enthusiastic and career focused, to join a multifaceted charitable organisation. Reporting into the Director of Finance, you will have sole responsibility for the charities financial accounts making sure they are closed and submitted successfully. This is a technical role in which you must operate both strategically but also in the detail. Specifically, you will be responsible for;

*Lead on the production of the annual report and accounts;
*Lead the production and reconciliation of financial planning, management of the balance sheet, including fixed assets, tax claims and year end process;
*Preparation of periodic cash flow plans & monitoring of reports
*Dealing with the Auditors and audit queries
*Liaising with stakeholders across the charity and present relevant information to the board.

In applying for this position, you must be ACA qualified and will have a strong technical background, ideally from audit. This role would suit someone with 1-5 year's post qualification experience that is looking to strengthen and develop their skills in an organisation with an excellent cause. Those with experience within Not for profit and charity SORP.
