In more specific terms the major responsibilities of the Finance Manager are: -
1. Preparation of the monthly management accounts within the required timescales.
2. Preparation of all required monthly reports, statements and all other ad hoc requests for administrative and/or financial information within the required timescales. The reports are to include, but not be limited to, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow summary/forecast, and aged debt analysis.
3. Interpretation of the company's financial results and the subsequent recommendation of improvement activities.
4. Assistance of the company's auditors with the preparation of the annual statutory accounts, ensuring all necessary audit and taxation requirements are adhered to.
5. Preparation and submission of all and any tax returns.
6. Management of UK's relationships with European controllers, the company's auditors and the company's bank.
7. Assisting in the preparation of the company's annual business plan & associated budget.
8. Production of the company payroll, including preparation of all staff overtime and commission payments, quarterly and annual bonuses and the associated tax returns to ensure compliance with UK law.
9. Ensuring Credit Control is done regularly to ensure that debtor days and aged debts are kept to an acceptable level.
10. Overseeing the production of customer invoicing, purchasing invoice entry, stock inputs and general accruals and prepayments.
11. Treasury management duties including daily bank statement download, maintenance of cash information and bank reconciliations.
12. Checking the accuracy of timesheets and expenses and overseeing the preparation of expenses for payment.
13. All general company administrative duties including managing the pension scheme, private health cover, life assurance, motor fleet, and company insurance policies.
14. Maintaining company records for holiday, sickness and training.

To be considered for this role you will be a qualified accountant who has previous relevant experience within SMEs or working in a stand alone role.

You will be looking for a part time role of 20-25 hours per week, with flexibility over how these hours are worked.
