As the Assistant Accountant you will have a Financial Accounts bias and will be responsible for the development of the financial systems required to ensure monitoring and reporting of the capital programme, collating and validating data for board reporting, establishing good practice with the financial systems in particular ensuring balance sheet reconciliation are correct and other general financial accounting duties such as charitable funds, treasury management and assisting with statutory accounts.
As the Assistant Accountant you will also be responsible for the day to day management of a junior member of the team, helping them to prioritise workloads to ensure and efficient close-down.
The Assistant Accountant role is a great opportunity for someone with strong experience within an accounts department in particular around financial accounting. It would suit qualified AAT or someone studying towards a professional accountancy qualification.
This a great opportunity for someone on a 12 month fixed term contract to develop their experience within a large public sector organisation
