Controls & Compliance Analyst

A fantastic consumer brand is currently seeking an Internal Controls & Compliance Analyst to help improve and take ownership of their Internal Control environment. This role will give the right person access to Senior Management, the opportunity to develop project management experience and cross-functional exposure. This is a 9 month contract with scope to go permanent.

This is a new role that has been created due to the growth and increasing complexity of my client. Working with the Head of the Function and stakeholders across the business the successful candidate will be pivotal in implementing processes to monitor the internal control environment and coordinate the internal testing processes.
Key responsibilities:
ENHANCE COMPLIANCE & CONTROLS ENVIRONMENT

• Ensure compliance of internal controls environment
• Monitor progresses and test remediation
• Co-ordinate control gap assessment in preparation of the audit
• understand opportunities for improvement and drive efficiencies

AUDIT PREPARATION AND COORDINATION

• Lead audit preparation
• Coordinate audit efforts
• work on management action points and issue remediation

COMPLIANCE REPORTING AND PROJECT COORDINATION

• Lead compliance reporting
• Lead on a number of ad hoc projects (P2P, financial accounting system)

The ideal candidate will:

• Come back an Audit/Internal Controls background (ideally holding a finance qualification)
• Have strong stakeholder management skills
• Have great attention to detail but with the ability to step back and look at the bigger picture
• Want to shape the future of this growing brand
