Financial Controller

Qualified Financial Controller role for a Services Organisation based in South Birmingham.

Your new company
A large division of an international group of a Services Organisation based in South Birmingham with a proven track record. Due to changes within the structure a new role for a Financial Controller has arisen.

Your new role
As Financial Controller you will support the Finance Director in ensuring robust financial control and reporting to give information to both internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for the management of a team of circa 10 and will oversee the preparation of the monthly management accounts and forecasting. You will take ownership of the statutory accounts, VAT and Intrastat. You will also be the main point of contact for the external auditors.
Other duties will include overseeing the working capital , cashflow forecasting and balance sheet controls. You will also actively be involved in the budget planning cycle.


What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Qualified Accountant with preference from an audit background. You will have experience working as a Finance Manager or Controller and have extensive staff management within industry. This is a technical role so upto date knowledge of accounting standards are essential.
