My client, a retail group who have grown both organically and through acquisition are looking to expand their finance team. They have created a new role for a Management Accountant that can take responsibility for accounting and controlling activities whilst reporting to the Financial Controller. The role will also provide significant exposure to the senior management team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Accountable for all accounting and controlling activities.
- Prepare monthly management information and analysis including commentary for senior management
- Ownership of the group forecast and preparation of management reports
- Accountable for the review and implementation of finance policies and procedures inline with future business growth
- Various ad-hoc tasks (projects such as acquisitions/ integrations, process improvement and initiatives.
This is not a dry group role as there is plenty of opportunity to get involved with the business units commercial/operational activities therefore the desire to add value and drive projects is also key. The successful candidate is likely to be a recently Qualified Accountant, either ACA or ACCA.
