Purpose
As part of a small Group finance team to prepare the year end and interim financial reporting, prepare monthly management accounts consolidation, write technical accounting papers and focus on areas of improvements in working capital and balance sheet control.
Key Responsibilities

In conjunction with the Group finance team, responsibility for the preparation of the year end and interim statutory financial statements, and provision of presentation and notes to Group CFO for shareholder presentations

Own the group consolidation process including completing monthly consolidation journals for consolidated P&L and balance sheets and managing month end processes concerning intercompany eliminations and working capital reporting and reviews – liaising with territory finance teams as required

Prepare monthly flash cash and monthly cash forecasts

Prepare budget and quarterly reforecast cash flow and management of intercompany elimination process for budget and quarterly reforecasts

Managing recharges of management fees, royalties and shared service charges

Prepare quarterly covenant calculations

Prepare UK holding company statutory accounts and tax computations for UK entities

Update group reporting requirements to ensure monthly and year end reporting align with developments in IFRS.

Key point of contact with external auditors (interim and year end financial statements) and tax advisors (UK entity tax computations)

Assist the Head of Group Finance to manage the working capital and treasury processes of the Group and its operations to ensure that all covenants and working capital metrics are achieved and that the Group has the appropriate level of cash and working capital

Assist the Head of Group Finance to implement, audit and maintain appropriate financial controls and processes to ensure good governance and risk mitigation including the management of the Group’s risk register and financial control requirements
PERSON SPECIFICATION
-
Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) and would suit a recently qualified accountant, with some experience within the group finance function of a public company and advantage but not essential

Strong technical accounting skills including experience of reporting under IFRS

Ability to work well under pressure, working accurately with attention to detail and able to meet deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at a senior level

Experience of working with SAP BPC (desirable)

Flexibility to travel to overseas offices as required
