My client, a large international law firm is looking for a Group Reporting Manager for a period of 12 months. This role is to cover an internal secondment.

What the role encompasses:

* Providing key support to the Group Financial Controller and the new Finance Director.
* Management of all Group internal reporting - making sure that the internal reporting is relevant and timely.
* Management of all Group external reporting - making sure it complies with UK GAAP. Managing the Group's auditors and the production of the statutory financial statements.
* Managing the group's cash and banking facilities.
* Re-developing internal reports.
* Providing narratives and explanations of trends.
* Re-energising the Group reporting team which currently consists of two accountants.
* Assisting and developing the office financial controllers to perform their roles.
* Managing the Group's auditors and the production of the statutory financial statements.
* Managing the annual budgeting process and subsequent re-forecasting.
* Oversight and active management of inter-entity balances to reduce forex adjustments.

Required skill set


  • A can-do, solution oriented approach
    * Great communication skills including the ability to explain numbers to non-finance professionals
    * Ability to form good working relationships with the wider firm (including other services) and the wider Finance community.
    * Ability to work with people remotely.
    * Ability to set timetables and keep to them.
    * Ability to work under pressure.
    * Self-motivation and commitment, as well as enthusiasm in supporting new processes and change.
    * A qualified accountant with at least four years post qualification experience
    * Excellent Excel skills and willingness to learn a new system.

    The right candidate will have a strong financial controls skillset and experience of UK GAAP and FRS 101.
