An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Management Accountant within the Commercial Finance department at Carnival UK’s Head office in Southampton.

Within this Senior Management Accountant role you will deal with the following:

• leading a team of 4 direct reports
• streamline processes and maximise resources to challenge existing thinking to drive out waste and improve processes and performance
• ensuring and enhancing financial control
• ensuring prompt payment to concessionaires
• review of accounting reconciliations
• ensuring compliance with appropriate corporate policies

Your activities as Senior Management Accountant will include:

• Proactive liaison with the Business on their reported financial results, to drive a better understanding of activities and performance.
• Sets and creates the team agenda to improve performance and deliver change
• Analysis, review and presentation of financial information to inform clearer understanding of issues
• Communication and liaison with ship and shore based teams to establish effective and efficient financial processes
• Ensuring appropriate prioritisation of workload within the team to ensure prompt payments for concessionaire partners
• Ensuring and enhancing financial control
• Reviewing journals relating to on board revenue

Key to this Senior Management Accountant role will be your ability to develop strong relationships and processes that enable the accurate reporting, understanding and interpretation of financial performance, and then use this reporting to influence others to deliver change.

You will be self-motivated, as well as being able to work well within a team to deliver exceptional commercial and operational performance. You will also have excellent attention to detail and will have superb numeracy.
