Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Cost Accountant will be responsible for managing and developing all aspects of the Trusts costing activity including mandatory returns such as reference costing. You will manage the costing and commercial analysis of new business tenders, track and monitor the main income agreements from contract and non-contract activity, develop analysis of cost and activity information by service line.
The Cost Accountant is highly pivotal within the structure. You will need to be able to articulate complicated numbers to a wide range of people including non-financial colleagues. The ability to build sound working relationships with senior managers and directors is essential.
To be considered for the role of Cost Accountant you need to be a qualified accountant with previous NHS Costing experience.
