Financial Director

Reporting directly into the CEO you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Timely and accurate financial and operational reporting, including:

• Overseeing the preparation of the monthly management accounts and presenting financial results and commentary to the Board.
• Review Balance Sheet Reconciliations to ensure all accruals and prepayment have been posted.
• Produce cashflow forecasts and annual budgets, including variance reports as required and attending management meetings.

• Provide financial and KPI data as required to CEO and Board.
• Maintenance of the fixed asset register.
• Authorising the weekly purchase ledger payment runs.
• Organising and preparing information in a timely manner for the Administrators and, post Administration, for the year-end audit.
• Continuous development and improvement of accounts function and reporting.

• Oversee and authorise quarterly VAT returns.

• Creating and maintaining a strong control environment, including:
  • Authorising the weekly purchase ledger payment runs.
  • Ensuring all cash is monitored throughout the company to the point of banking.
  • Overseeing that cash income is banked daily and ensuring the cash position is effectively monitored and controlled.
  • Overseeing and monitoring monthly payroll and annual P11D reporting.
  • Ensuring accuracy of postings onto Sage, including review and monitoring of data input.
  • Ensuring key processes across the department are documented
  • Ensure that the integrity of the till system is maintained on site.


 

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate their experience gained from a similar role, have strong interpersonal skills and be capable of working with and leading people of all levels and disciplines. You will hold a professional accountancy qualification, (ACA, ACCA, and CIMA) or equivalent. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary and benefits package.
