Financial Accountant

Are you a highly ambitious ACA recently qualified accountant working for a Top 4 accountancy practice or a Top 10 firm with exposure to larger company audits?

Do you have a comprehensive and up to date technical knowledge gained through professional examinations & experience in profession, including accounting standards and preparation of statutory accounts?

If so Elevation Senior finance are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant for high profile business based in Doncaster. Reporting to the Group Finance Controller the successful candidate will join a friendly, supportive and established team environment.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

-Providing a financial accounting service
-Assisting in the provision of internally & externally reported financial information (ensuring compliance with legal requirements, accounting standards and fiscal requirements)
-Preparation of statutory accounts, and corporation tax packs
-Providing technical accounting assistance to the business
-Reconciliation & Review of General Accounts
-Creating & posting financial postings & journals
-Assisting in the external audit process

The successful Financial Accountant will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

-ACA/ACCA qualified
-A strong financial accounting background with solid understanding of balance sheet items
-Experience in working with (or for) external auditors
-Confidence in handling and manipulating large amounts of data in Excel
-An enthusiastic, positive and 'can do' approach
-Strong attention to detail
-The attitude and ability to meet deadlines
-Great interpersonal skills
