Financial Controller

fdu is currently recruiting a Financial Controller for a very well respected design agency which boasts a range of high profile consumer brands amongst its clients. Currently with a turnover of c£4m, our client have recently implemented a four year growth plan in which they are looking to increase their size four to five fold during this period with the end game of an exit, most likely by trade sale of private equity. To help them achieve this goal, the CFO has identified the need for a high calibre Financial Controller to support this growth by partnering with the Project Managers to help them achieve their business plans and drive top line growth. Another requirement for this Financial Controller is to implement a best in class financial controls and reporting framework and build a high achieving finance team to support the business.

Key responsibilities:

• Production of robust, detailed, accurate and timely monthly management accounts
• Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Assisting with the production of statutory accounts including liaison with the Auditors
• Cashflow forecasting and management
• Managing, developing and building a high achieving team

You will be a qualified accountant with experience gained in a high growth media business (or similar). You must have gained experience working I an organisation that operates under a Work In Progress (WIP) business model. You must have experience of implementing a strong financial controls and reporting framework. In addition you must have a commercial outlook and have demonstrable experience of partnering with non-financial team and being instrumental in them growing their business.

You must be an energetic individual with superb communication and interpersonal skills; someone able to operate effectively in a high growth, creative environment.
