Head of Finance

I am recruiting for a very cool Shoreditch/Aldgate based media business who are looking for a Head of Finance at £60,000-65,000 + Bens. The offices are warehouse style, with music and an open plan setting. The team are all relaxed, yet the business is expanding and just about to close their next round of funding. The role will involve looking after their entire finance function and managing 1 individual. This person will do everything from supporting investment appraisals, budgeting and forecasting, financial modelling for any debt/equity, streamlining procedures and processes, business planning. They will work with the auditors on finalising the statutory accounts. This person will also oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control. They will be producing cashflows and also be involved in the corporate strategy of the business. There is a lot to do. The ideal candidate will be an ACA/CA/CIMA/ACCA accountant who has had a good track record of progression. They could either be coming from practice, then gone into industry, looking for their next role, or they could have worked their way up in industry. They must be able to negotiate and work with a strong mangement team. This person will be out with the business alot, so they have to be able to deal with strong characters. Interviews will be next Tuesday/Wednesday. I would want to meet candidates before in person.
