Group Accountant

A company based in Kidderminster seek to recruit a Group Accountant on a permanent basis. The Group Accountant will support the Group Financial Controller to ensure that all aspects of work associated with the consolidation of monthly management accounts, USGAAP reporting (quarterly and annual), rolling forecasts, annual budgets and statutory accounts are completed in an accurate and timely manner.

Duties will include:

• To assist in the preparation of division reports, including commentary and analysis
• To assist the GFC with preparation of the annual statutory reports
• Dealing with the Group's external and internal auditors in relation to accounting and audit issues
• Make decisions relating to individual financial issues, identify any issues at an early stage and propose solutions to ensure that the Group remains in the best financial position possible
• Contribute to any other business project teams as directed by the GFC and Vice President of Finance

The ideal candidate will require the following:

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Good understanding of financial statements, consolidations and fundamental accounting principles
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent Analytical skills
• USGAAP and Sarbanes Oxley experience is not essential, but would be beneficial to the role
