The Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in central London with a well-known private equity backed retail business. The business has recently received additional investment and is in the process of rolling out more sites in both the UK & abroad. With a new CFO, investment and an expanding FP&A team it is an extremely exciting time for an Analyst to join a developing finance team on a 6 month contract. In the long term for the right candidate, this could also become a temporary to permanent opportunity.

The Role

This role provides the opportunity for an individual to immerse themselves in all commercial aspects of this international brand. The successful candidate will support the Head of FP&A & in producing monthly budgets and forecasts. Moreover you will be creating a variety of financial models in order to drive the commercial direction of the company. Thus an understanding of the retail industry & stock will be important alongside analysis of key performance drivers to identify & challenge business issues. Furthermore, this opportunity is for a commercial candidate who has the gravitas to report information to senior management (CFO / Head of FP&A) and push back on ideas / questions when required.

The Requirements

• Qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Experience of Retail (preferred)
• Private Equity exposure (preferred)
• Strong financial modelling skills on excel
• Experience reporting to senior staff / board
• Desire to learn and develop ones skill set (essential)
• Confident, commercial and used to a fast-paced environment
