The role of Management Accountant, for the Finance Shared Service Centre of this large Global organisation is to support the Global Services Head and will report to the Senior Management Accountant.
This role will provide efficient management accounts reporting in order to support the Financial Analysts through efficient reporting and continuous improvements.
Main responsibilities:
• Accurate and timely reporting of monthly management accounts for entities throughout Europe, including creation and posting of judgmental accrual and prepayments
• Support the Finance Analysts with planning and systems related questions and queries
• Providing ad-hoc information to Financial Analysts, to include spend analysis
• Maintenance of headcount allocations
• Approval of bank payments
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for the accruals, deferred revenue, prepayment and other revenue and cost driven balance sheet accounts
• Intercompany recharge of costs incurred on behalf of other parts of the business
• Checking of Indirect Overhead Allocations to products
• Calculation and posting of revenue deferrals
• Review and adjustment of bad debt provisions
• Liaise with businesses as required to provide support for recharges
• Collation and posting of event KPI's
• Calculation and posting of employee bonus accruals
• Support Global Finance Manager in tracking KPI's
• Assist Global Finance Manager with management accounting projects
• Identify continuous improvements within the management accounting function, through review of processes and working with the Global Finance Manager to implement changes
Role requirements:
• Newly Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA
• Strong financial analysis skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential to work effectively with non-finance managers, colleagues and external parties
• Advanced/Intermediate use of Microsoft Excel and strong financial modelling skills essential
