Tax Manager

Our client, an industry leading, international Kent based business, are looking to attract a Tax Manager to join their substantial finance function. The business is going through an exciting time of growth and development and as such, this is a great time to join the business and get involved in up coming projects in 2017. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Tax Manager will take responsibility for the corporation, VAT and other tax affairs of this prestigious Group. There will be a focus on developing a tax strategy for the Group, working closely with key stakeholders. Other key areas of focus for the role will include:
 

• Preparation of annual UK corporation tax and quarterly VAT returns
• Annual and quarterly reporting under IFRS for the Group and UK subsidiaries
• Supporting the planning and forecasting process, ensuring tax is reflected accurately
• Working with the senior management team to support mergers & acquisition activity
• Provision of detailed US GAAP tax information to US parent company quarterly and annually
• Liaise directly with HMRC for corporation tax and VAT issues
• Monitoring changes in the tax laws and developing plans to mitigate risks

Candidates will be formally qualified with substantial experience operating at a senior level within the tax arena. Previous experience of IFRS and ideally US GAAP tax provisioning will be required in addition to UK corporation tax returns and VAT returns. Candidates that possess tax due diligence and acquisition structuring knowledge will be at an advantage along with those with international experience.
