Job Title: Regulatory Compliance Analyst

Location: Cambridge

Duration: 6 Months

Rate: £200/day - £220/day

My client, a global brand currently have a requirement for a Regulatory Compliance Analyst to join the business. This role is responsible for certain areas of revenue compliance under US GAAP and IFRS (15) for the business and development of policy in this area. The role is responsible for coordinating with internal and external auditors and other compliance functions as well as certain compliance programs to ensure business practices are in line with accounting standards. The role will also be a significant participant in several key projects covering GAAP conversion; policy and key control updates.

Responsibilities:

  • Gathers financial data and performs financial analyses and reporting to influence decisions within the business and to drive cross-business initiatives.
  • Communicates and drives adherence to GAAP and the organisation's financial goals and policies.
  • Ensures strong business controls.
  • Able to clearly document complex accounting matters.
  • Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods.
  • Works on complex problems/projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
  • Exercises significant independent judgement within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
  • Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.
  • Frequently represents the organisation to external customers.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with typically 6+ years of experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of Software revenue recognition under US GAAP and IFRS (15)
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and deal with change
