Finance Manager

A successful and growing company based in Clitheroe are currently looking to recruit a Finance Manager on a permanent basis.
The company has a relatively low number of high value transactions and attention to detail is a critical element. As Finance Manager you will be a key member of the senior management team and working alongside the existing FC will be completely responsible for supervising all aspects of the financial side of the office including day to day accounts, stock control, currency management, sales and purchase ledger management, office infrastructure and producing monthly accounts to trial balance. In addition, you will ensure that related activities in sales and inventory control are in line with documented processes. This is a hands on role managing a small team in the office, short term and medium term cash flow, and collating / producing the monthly accounts for both companies.
In order to be considered for the role you must have total attention to detail and a natural ability to spot any deviations and understand the impacts on the business.
You will ideally have experience in managing all aspects of a commercial accounting office in a B2B environment and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience of managing third party relationships such as insurance providers, HMRC, VAT and in particular controlling trade finance / invoice finance systems / partners. You should possess a good working knowledge of Sage ERP or similar and be at a high level of competence with Excel.
