The Company

Our client is a fast-growing name in financial services. They have experienced significant growth both organically and through acquisition in recent months and due to their continued success they have a newly created opportunity for an ambitious accountant to join the business and head up Financial Reporting.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for heading up a small team and managing the statutory reporting and Regulatory returns for the FCA ensuring adherence to strict controls and reporting requirements.

Key duties:

• Managing a small finance team to ensure they are developing their skills and engaged fully with the needs of the business.
• Management of the end to end statutory reporting.
• Interacting with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and organisations.
• Developing, implementing & improving reporting techniques in response to future requirements issued by regulatory bodies.
• Ensuring a smooth audit for the group.
• Providing insight into regulatory reporting, tax and treasury working closely with the Treasury Manager to improve Board reporting.
• Ad-hoc projects, systems developments and reporting improvements.

The Person

• You will be a qualified ACA (ICAEW or ICAS) or ACCA with demonstrable post-qualified experience.
• Previous Big 4/Top 10 practice experience preferred.
• Strong Financial Reporting skills.
• Previous Financial Services or other Regulated Industry experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Proven management experience along with the ability to interact with stakeholders both internally and externally.
