Finance Manager

My client are a large organisation based in London. Due to movement in the team they are looking for someone to start immediately on a 6 month contract as Finance Manager for the Service Charges team allowing for a suitable handover period with the currently individual.

The purpose of the role:

To be responsible for managing and co-ordinating all aspects of the of the financial processing of rents and service charges including: annual budgets, annual rent and service charge calculation and notifications, efficient and timely posting of rent payments, monthly analytical review of management accounts, annual service charge statements, surplus/deficit accounting and recovery, sinking fund and equipment replacement ensuring that all time-tables and deadlines are met.

To lead on the development of rent and service charge policy across the organization and issue good practice guidance on all tenures to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.

To work closely and in consultation with the diverse business units across the organization and central functional departments on matters related to the service charge function, using established forums as appropriate. The post-holder will act as the finance lead representative and influence key decisions.

The candidate should have the following;

• Accountancy qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) with PQE
• A thorough understanding of service charge accounts, both statements and budgets and related legislation.
• Reconciliation of a large number of control accounts
• Staff supervision experience

Salary to £60,000
