A household name and market leader, my client operate within the FMCG / retail environment and due to a period of sustained growth are looking to recruit a Senior Internal Auditor.  As Internal Audit is a relatively new function in the UK, my client offer fantastic opportunities for career progression, this prestigious business is a high profile employer of choice with this role offering real opportunity to impact the business.  Key responsibilities will include:

• Planning, conducting and processing of internal audits in subsidiaries and group branches in the United Kingdom and Europe (approx. 30% European travel)
• Planning the annual audit plan with the Head of Group Internal Audit
• Judging the appropriateness and effectiveness of existing control systems
• Analyzing and assessing business processes in order to identify process-related improvement potentials
• Preparation of closing documents and presentation of audit results in front of auditees as well as functional leaders and executives 
• Agreement of corrective actions and their follow up
• Development of team-internal audit standards, concepts and procedures
• Establishment of the business function “Internal Audit” in the United Kingdom
• Leading and developing a small local team

The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant or Auditor with a Big 4 or Top 10 background.  You will need the ability to speak the German language, the level of fluency is flexible.
