Finance & Administration Manager
Based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, our client is an exciting service company who are looking for a Finance & Administration Manager to join their team on a permanent basis and report to the Managing Director.
This job would suit an experienced all-round Accountant with experience in bookkeeping, administration and experience of being number one in finance of an owner managed business. The job involves assisting in the management of the company's finance and administration operations and supporting the Managing Director and the Administration team in producing timely and accurate management information. The candidate will need to take responsibility to produce monthly accounts, year-end statutory accounts and provide support to the company's Auditors.

The successful individual will be an experienced team player who has worked in a small/ medium, owner managed business as a Management Accountant. The candidate should be self-motivated and able to work under pressure and without supervision. Experience with Sage 50 is essential, as is being proficient at Excel & Word (ideally MS Office - which includes PowerPoint and Access).
Duties will include:
To have primary responsibility for the supervision and efficient operation of the Administration Team including support in the following areas:
- Sales ledger, Purchase ledger and Bank reconciliations
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register
- Aged creditors and debtors analysis for management to follow through
- Coordination and production of relevant backup documentation.
- Monthly payroll including collating and checking timesheets, etc.
- Stock-takes
- Supporting & advising on any problems that arise
- Answering finance-related queries from Directors and auditors
- Working closely and supporting where necessary the IT consultant
- Procuring best value goods and services
- Other tasks concerning the efficient running of the Company
- To contribute towards and encourage team working at all levels
- To be aware of Health and Safety regulations, Fire and Hygiene policies
- To attend appropriate training courses that have been organised in order for you to perform your duties to a satisfactory level
- To abide by the company's policy on confidentiality which includes non-disclosure of medical and personal information about clients or staff members without their permission
- To take all measures to ensure the safety of clients and visitors and their property
- To perform such other reasonable duties as may be required
